Needlepoint Canvases on EBay
Hello
Hello friends. Sorry I have not posted in a while. I have been out of sorts and am trying to recoup.
I am thinking about painting up needlepoint canvases and would like some expert opinions on what people are looking for. If you have comments or advice please give me some input.

The Jerry Springer Dinner

I want to give a shout out of thanks to my husband’s high school girlfriend. We remember her. She is the one that he worked with at the grocery store in high school. He hired her a few years back to work for him at the grocery here in our home town. She was so grateful she made her coworkers some banana bread. She even made Chuck his favorite chocolate cream pie. She put his name on the box. She is so very sweet. Our pregnant adopted daughter/ son’s girlfriend’s best friend went to this woman’s daycare and counts her as her grandmother. The best friend’s twin brother went there too I think. You know him, he is the one that got arrested for stealing the four wheeler from the Boy Scout camp. Anyhow, thanks to Chuck’s exgirlfriend for the gift card that you gave him this past Christmas to the steakhouse.
We met up at the steakhouse that was located over there where I used to work when I was married to my first ex husband. Our son also lived over at that budget stay hotel when we were having Chuck’s house in town repaired after the fire. That was the fire that the neighbor girl texted me on Facebook about while Chuck and I were sitting down to eat a Whataburger meal after he just got out of the hospital from having his drain switched out from his pancreas tumor removal. That neighbor girl was the sister to the one that was my other son’s first roommate. She had to leave because she would knock on all the boys doors in the middle of the night naked drunk asking for sex.
The drive over took a while. Chuck was stressed because he was meeting his grand daughter for the first time. When Chuck was in the hospital having his first stroke we got a text from a young woman claiming to be the mother of our son’s daughter. She wanted to know if we wanted to meet her. I had put the conversation off because I wanted Chuck to get healthier. So know we were headed through much highway construction to go meet with her. It was about a 45 minute drive and Chuck does not do well in the car. He has a fear of my driving and comments on my skills which makes me a nervous wreck. We made it to the restaurant with only our egos bruised.
We were also meeting our son’s mother and her new husband at the steakhouse. Chuck had our son as a love child with this woman. He also worked for her daddy for many years. Her daddy ran a tire shop over on the Northside. It possibly had some mob ties. She brought her new husband to dinner. He is the widow of her ex husband’s sister. Her ex husband is getting old and has some health problems. He also worked at the tire shop with Chuck. He liked to play scratch offs and was in a country band. They say he sounded just like Merle.
So we all met up at the steak house. The girl was nice enough and the baby was sweet. Chuck got to hold her. We sat down for dinner. The baby was tired. We passed the baby around the table with everyone trying to calm her. This made it worse. The girl got her salad to go. We were left after driving an hour to meet this girl having dinner with Chuck’s ex and her man. The food was good except the shrimp tasted a little off.
When we came home and went to bed Chuck spilled his drink all over the floor. I cleaned it up cussing a little. I gave him my sugar free ocean water. When we got settled back down he asked if I knew what was wrong with his ex. She seemed to him a little upset. I did not know or did I really care. Chuck fell asleep and I went to the bathroom and threw up the bad shrimp. Good night. I tap out.
Diabetes Dementia Chocolates and Soap

Today was very busy and very interesting. I babysat my grandson. I also worked on an art project. Chuck, my husband spent the day resting in our bedroom. Chuck has dementia and diabetes. I prepared his breakfast and went about my business.
Chuck likes to snack on unhealthy items. I try to give him luxury food once a day. I keep dark chocolates in the bottom drawer of my night stand. I love chocolates. Today I overheard Chuck and my grandson chatting it up. My grandson is not allowed too much sugar because he becomes hyper. The boys had found my chocolate stash and were enjoying some. I got them out of the drawer and found something else for everyone else to do.
Everyone took a nap. Chuck came and woke me with a kiss. It tasted terrible. It was almost like soap. I asked what the hell. He admitted he had been getting some chocolate and accidentally ate half a bar of soap.
Oh my.
Reality

Adulting is hard. One of my daughters tells me this often. I am in a pickle. My accountant told me last year not to go back to work. Chuck draws early retirement. I get a small pension. Now with Chuck being ill he cannot be left alone. I can pay my bills but any extra expenses put things out of wack.
One of our nine children and his girlfriend live with us. They pay nothing. I am so over this situation. I will have to evict them to get them out and I don’t know if evictions are happening right now.
I have three dogs. One is my mother’s, one got dropped of here, and one decided to live here. These dogs like to wander off our property. The neighbors have complained. I spent over $300 on collars and a electronic barrier for them. One dog lost his collar and went to visit the neighbor. Our son went over to try to retrieve him.
The girlfriend told me this in our morning conversation. She also told me of plans for going to a ballgame and also of making some other purchases. Her tone was one of chastising me for not getting a collar for the dog. That was all I could take. I told her if I wasn’t paying for her mans cell phone bill I might be able to purchase a collar for the dog.
Of course she tattled told my son that I hurt her feelings and I got a curt phone text. I don’t have time for their stuff. The girl is 8 months pregnant and I don’t have the heart to kick them out yet. I hate being such a softy.
Well, I gotta go. Another son just called asking for money to replace a rim in his tire. will it ever end? Gotta get up early. A daughter is bringing over my grandson for me to watch.
Moonlighting for the Retired

I was so excited today. I had an interview with a company for an editor position for a blog and newsletter for Aflac. I had another interview for an accounting clerk. I took the accounting interview first. I spent over an hour telling this company how great I was. I have had many jobs in my life and this would be easy for me.
I was told that they would send me a laptop and Fed Ex me a check so I could purchase softwares needed. Now I am pretty smart but I detected some broken English. This sent me into research mode. Sure enough, they are a scam.
That sucks.
Mother’s Apron

My mother was an interesting woman. I was her primary caretaker for a little over eight years. She passed away a few years ago from breast cancer. I miss her tremendously.
My mother told me that if at all possible she would find a way to communicate with me from the afterlife. I do not believe in ghosts but I do believe in souls. Maybe they are the same thing. I just do not have a fear of either.
The other day was my mother’s birthday. She loved the attention of birthdays. I was sad seeing her birthday coming about. I was dreading the sadness.
So I woke up about 5:30 am on her day. I went to the kitchen to put the coffee on. My mother’s apron was nearly folded on the counter. I asked family members who placed it there. No one did. As I went about my household chores that day I wore my mother’s apron.I felt a special love wrapped all around me. Vid is amazing to let his angels surround us to show so much love.
“For, He will command His angels concerning you to guard you in all your ways.” Psalm 91:11
Garden Fresh Lunch
This morning I stepped on the front porch and looked at my flowerbed. I have some cabbage plant from last fall that are, starting to go to seed. I trimmed off some of the bottom leaves. I had the intention on making some buttered cabbage. I picked some green onions too.
I came inside and cut the cabbage into small squares. I put it and the onion into a frying pan with a couple of tablespoons of butter. it looked like it needed something else. I keep frozen left over bacon in my freezer. Everything is better with bacon.
When I was in the freezer I saw some tots. I immediately thought about the onion and potatoes omelets the exchange students taught me to make. I added a few tots to my mixture.
Then I remembered the cheese curds in my fridge. They are a good snack. I put a few of those in my mixture. Now everything was looking and smelling really good.
All of the items needed to bind together. I put a few eggs in my blender and poured them in the mixture. I had already broken up the tots. The eggs were whipped and foamy. This made the mixture kinda of fluffy. I flipped it in the pan . it was browned on both sides. I topped it off wth salt and pepper.
Excellent lunch.
Tires

Today I tried a project. I had to put a air valve stem on my mower tire. The tires had also been flat for a while. My son in law told me it was an easy fix. I was gone on the day he would be able to help me. Here is the process I used to get the tires fixed.
I got a stem at Tsc. I had a horrible time trying to seat the tubeless tire. I you tubed and learned that you should use soap to make the process easier. Then I wrapped the rope around the tire and put a knot to tie it with. I used the screwdriver to twist the knot and then I aired up the tire. My pregnant daughter in lawned the screw driver. She had to put down her other baby in the stroller. I told her when you marry a man that does not know how to fix things you have to learn yourself.
The mower is fixed and we feel like three very empowered women: me, the daughter in law and the grand daughter.
